System Developers, C++ or Java
Job Duties (C++):
As a C++ developer, you will work with our system for advanced trading. You will improve on existing functionality and develop new functions, working close to its users. Projects range from market connectivity to transaction servers and tools for automated trading.
We use standard C++, with STL and Boost, and develop using Visual Studio on Windows.
The trading system is modular and scaleable, runs 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. It handles huge numbers of transactions, and need to be optimized for speed and low latency.
You will work with very competent colleagues in a fast paced environment, close to the users of the system.
For the C++ position it is good if you already know STL and Boost.
Job Duties (Java):
Our new Java team is creating a brand new system, which will be connected to the trading system, to provide functions for post trade handling.
You will create a new product, by working closely with its users, and iteratively deliver more and more functionality.
The java system will be connected to the trading system, and handle a number of services that will provide better post trade handling capabilities.
For the Java position you need to have experience from using JavaEE and JMS, and it is an additional advantage if you also know C++.
General Skills:
- A minimum of three years of working professionally with development, at an advanced level, using C++ or Java.
- You are smart, curious and find it easy to learn new things.
- You are a team player, and communicate well within the other team members as well as with users and customers.
- You have experience from agile software development (such as Scrum), including concepts such as continuous builds, unit testing, etc.
- You get things done.
- It is an advantage if you have an interest in the financial markets, know the flows from orders to settlement, have worked with FIX and have experience from large systems.
- You speak and write English fluently.
